Trae Young: Ejected Before Even Hitting the Court with the Wizards
So, Trae Young has been chilling with the Wizards for nearly two months now, but guess what? He’s got a grand total of zero minutes played! Yep, that’s right—absolutely nada on the stat sheet. Nevertheless, that’s about to change in a few days (or so we hope), but for now, he’s made headlines in a rather unusual way.
In a twist of fate, our boy Trae got himself ejected during the Wizards’ loss to the Rockets, which wrapped up 118-123. This happened after he decided to abandon his cozy spot on the bench to run onto the court and complain about an incident involving Tari Eason giving Jamir Watkins a shove. I mean, who wouldn’t want to defend their teammates, right? But those refs didn’t see it that way, and off he went to the showers before the game even ended!
Can you believe Trae Young got EJECTED for running onto the court? 😳 And he hasn’t even played a game for the Wizards yet! 😅
To make light of the whole situation, Trae took to Twitter shortly after, joking, “Don’t expect me to get ejected too many more times… But I’m definitely bringing that energy and competitiveness when I’m back for my brothers! 🫶🏽” Seriously though, what a way to make an entrance, right?
But Trae wasn’t the only player showing himself the door. Tari Eason followed suit after the referees decided to review the play. Eason had already delivered a second push to Watkins, prompting the officials to lay down the law with two technicals—one for each shove. Ouch! Talk about a double whammy!
